Our Beach Bar & Restaurant was built on ?the rocks? as close to the beach as possible and we can, without doubt, claim to have the BAR with the best sea views. A braai area on the deck is also available for bring & braai functions (the restaurant can provide pap, sauce and salad at a price per head)On Sundays & other special days like Easter & Christmas during peak season, we have a church service on big screen and for those special Sport Events.Special events & parties can be arranged. Friday nights is party night here at Tartaruga Beach bar with different themes.All of the units are built on stilts and designed to be cool and airy with the best sea views. Our units have Veranda's so you can enjoy your morning coffee while watching the best sunrise in Africa!PLEASE NOTE: Our units are basic, rustic, clean and comfortable. Please don?t expect anything fancy. We are in the bush!Loggerhead 1 and 2 are 5-sleeper units with fully equipped kitchens and each with one bathroom with a shower. These chalets are open plan. Each chalet has 1x double bed, 1x single bed and 1x bunk bed. Loggerhead 3 is a 8-sleeper chalet. There is a large fully equipped kitchen. One master bedroom with 1x double bed, 2x bunker beds and 2x single beds. It has 2 bathrooms each with a shower. We can change this chalet to a 6 sleeper upon request.Loggerhead 4 and Green Turtle 2: these chalets are 6-sleeper units. One master bedroom and large kitchen dining area. They each have a bathroom with a shower. Leather Back 1,2 and 3 are 4-sleeper units built on the dune on stilts, they each have a master bedroom with their own deck overlooking the ocean. 1x double bed, 1x bunker bed and fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms have showers. Greenturtle 1 this is a 8 sleeper chalet with 2 master bedrooms each with its own bathroom, 2x double beds, 2x bunker beds. Fully equipped kitchen. The one master bedroom has a bath and shower, the other has just a shower. Achelon 1 is a double story 12-sleeper chalet. 3 bedrooms on top floor of which two are master bedrooms. The chalet has 2x double beds, 4x bunker beds, fully equipped kitchen - the bathrooms have showers only. This chalet has its Own swimming pool. OUR BEACHOur beach is very private and is NOT accessible for normal vehicles?. therefore it is a very safe beach for children - to play in our rock pools during low tide is a favorite amongst the youngsters. It?s perfect for shallow snorkelling and safe swimming or just to have fun in the sun without having to watch out for vehicles and quad bikes. Rock & surf fishing is very popular and so is kayak fishing.Washing: We have ladies doing laundry at an extra rate.Water: We make use of a bore hole that gets tested monthly. We ask clients to use water sparingly.Store's: There are 2 supermarkets close to us about 15km where clients can buy anything.Bar & Restaurant Cash only. Bar tab is payable 48 hours before departure.Packages: We do full menu or set menu for clients who do not wish to self cater. Price will depend on season and if it is all meals or just breakfast and lunch. If it is a set menu we will send you a list of options for each day that the client can choose from.No responsibility clauses on pool and beach and 4x4 tracks is in effect.Permits: If a client wish to launch a jet ski or kayak it is their responsibility to obtain the necessary skipper license in South Africa. Permits can be bought in Tofo. Weddings: We cater for Beach or dune weddings, it is advisable that the prospective client visit us before hand.Maintenance: Report to reception or bar.Clients enter our property at own risk. We cannot be held liable for any injuriesHospital & Doctor: We have a hospital and clinic in Inhambane for emergencies and an airport for evacuation (about 30 minutes away) The doctors may not always speak English but we have a translator for that and a lawyer on hand if need be.Activities we can book: Ocean Safaris, Dolphin swim, Scuba diving, Deep sea fishing, Quad adventure trails, Catamaran adventure, Sea horse Snorkeling tour, Pansy Island and Survival Island culture tour.
