Reef Resort has 20 self-catering houses, on the beach, in Xai Xai. The houses are between a 3 and 5-minute walk from the beach. They are fully equipped for self-catering, serviced daily and all Villas have a sea view. There is a restaurant on the Resort for those that do not want to self cater. Each Villa has a private swimming pool and all houses are air-conditioned. You can reach Reef Resort with a normal car, you do not need a 4x4. The houses consist of the below: 7 X TWO BEDROOM VILLAS (sleeps 4 people) 1 of the 7 x 2 bedroom houses is a luxury Villa, namely Casa Vista. The main difference between Casa Vista and the other 6 x 2 bedroom Villas is that Casa Vista is much larger and spacious than the other 6 x 2 bedroom Villas. Casa Vista is situated highest on the Resort and its name says it all, it has breathtaking ocean views, from where you can see the whales jumping during whale season. The other 6 Villas have a smaller open plan kitchen and lounge. All 7 x 2 bedroom Villas have air conditioning in both the bedrooms. Casa Vista has a King size bed in the 1 bedroom and a Queen size bed in the second bedroom. Casa Farol 2 has a King bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. The remainder 5 Villas all have 2 x single beds in each bedroom. All linen is supplied and all the beds has mosquito nets. All the bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, so you can unpack and enjoy your holiday. The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet. The second bedroom has a toilet and hand basin. Casa Vistas 2 bedrooms are both en suite with each bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet and hand basin. Bath towels are provided, you must take hand and beach towels with. The lounge and kitchen are open plan and open up onto an outside deck with a private swimming pool, bench and table for outside dining and a built in braai. The lounges all have comfortable lounge suites with flat screen TVs with DSTV - The Guesthouse Package. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable self-catering holiday including an electric fridge with a freezer compartment, a gas stove/oven, microwave, electric kettle, electric toaster, all the necessary pots, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery to cater for 4 people. There is a dining room table and chairs for inside dining. There is a single parking bay per house. It must be noted that there are steps leading up to these houses from the parking area. They are not wheel chair friendly, axcept for Casa Vista, this Villa has a ramp for wheelchairs. 5 X THREE BEDROOM VILLAS (sleeps 6 adults and 2 kids under age 12) These 5 houses all have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom has a King size bed and en suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. The other 2 bedrooms have 2 x single beds per room that share a bathroom that consists of a bath, shower, basin and toilet. All 3 bedrooms have air conditioning. All beds have mosquito nets and all bedrooms have built in cupboards. All linen and bath towels are provided, you must take beach and hand towels with. The lounge and kitchen are open plan and open up onto an outside deck with a private swimming pool, bench and table for outside dining and a built in braai. The lounges all have comfortable lounge suites with flat screen TVs with DSTV - The Guesthouse Package. There is a dining room table and chairs for inside dining. Each house has a double parking bay per apartment. Two of these houses are wheel chair friendly. The other houses have steps leading up/down to the houses. 7 X 3 BEDROOM HOUSES (sleeps 8 adults and 2 kids under age 12) 4 of these Villas are luxury and 3 of them are standard Villas. The difference between the luxury and standard Villas are the following: the 4 luxury Villas have a separate scullery, all the bathrooms have a bath and shower and these Villas are 80 square metres larger than the standard Villas. The 4 luxury Villas have a Queen bed in the main bedroom and 3 single beds in the other two bedrooms. There are 2 single day beds in the lounge for 2 kids under the age of 12. The 3 standard Villas bed configuration is as follows: Casa Golfinho and Casa Baleia have a King bed in the main bedroom, a Queen and a bunk bed in the second bedroom and a Queen bed in the third bedroom. Casa Panorama has a King bed in the main bedroom and a Queen bed in the second and third bedroom. All 7 of these houses have 2 day beds in the lounge area for 2 kids under the age of 12. All 7 Villas have air conditioning in the bedrooms, mosquito nets and built in cupboards in the bedrooms. Whale watching is only available during the winter months. A magnificent sunset to be observed, anywhere really, but the dunes are recommended for a relaxing sundowner with a local 2M or Laurentina beer to reflect at the end of a fun, sun filled day! Deep sea diving and ocean 'safaris' - sightseeing tours (offered by an independent company, based in Praia de Xai Xai) Bird watching Next-door is the Blue Dolphin Resort: they serve delicious, fresh seafood snacks, and they have Karaoke sing-alongs on certain nights.
