The loft contains one double bed and is strictly intended for two children under 12. The loft has limited headroom and is not suitable for adults. The loft is accessed by a wooden ladder. The double mattress in the loft may not be moved to the bedroom, floor or any other area of the cottage. All beds must remain in their original positions. 4X4 ACCESS A 4x4 vehicle is required to access Makana Estate in Ponta Mamoli. Guests travelling without a 4x4 can speak to GoBundu about arranging secure parking at the Kosi Bay border and transfers to and from the cottage. BEACH ACCESS Honey’s Seaview Cottage is situated in the third row of houses from the beach. The cottage is positioned directly in front of the Makana Estate beach walkway, with the walk to the beach taking approximately 3 minutes. The estate walkway leads directly onto Frederico’s Beach, with the snorkelling spot directly in front of the beach access. HOUSEKEEPING & STAFF TIP The cottage is serviced daily by a housekeeper who makes the beds, washes dishes and cleans the bathroom, floors and living areas. A compulsory staff tip of R70 per day is payable to the housekeeper. This includes the days of arrival and departure and must be paid in cash on departure. LINEN & TOWELS Bed linen and bath towels are provided. Guests must bring their own beach towels. COFFEE MACHINE The cottage has a Delta coffee machine that uses Delta coffee capsules. Guests should bring their preferred capsules. SMART TV & WI-FI Complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi is provided. The cottage has a Smart TV. No streaming subscriptions are included, so guests should use their own accounts if they wish to stream content. BRAAI A portable charcoal braai is provided. Guests should bring their own charcoal and firelighters. REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT A refundable breakage deposit of R2,000 is payable. The deposit will be refunded within 14 days after departure, subject to there being no damage, breakages or losses at the property. LATE CHECK-OUT Late check-out is available on request only and is subject to the cottage not having an incoming booking on the day of departure. Where late check-out is approved, a fee of R1,500 will be deducted from the refundable breakage deposit. Late check-out is no later than 15:00. HOUSE & ESTATE RULES No pets are permitted. Loud music, parties and functions are not permitted. All guests must comply with Makana Estate rules. No noise is permitted between 22:00 and 06:00. Failure to comply with these rules will result in a warning. If the issue occurs again after a warning, the full breakage deposit will be forfeited. Continued non-compliance may result in guests being required to vacate the property immediately, with no refund for any unused nights.
