Etosha National Park is Namibia?s second largest Park. With a rich wildlife heritage of 114 mammal, 340 bird and 110 reptile species it is also the oldest and best known of Namibia?s 22 Protected Areas. The Park, measuring a mind-boggling 22,270 km2 is a harsh arid area for most parts of the year where the spectacle occurs around the Saline pans; which cover about 23% of the park?s total area. The Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) operates 4 Camps inside the Park ? Okaukuejo Camp, Halali Camp, Namutoni Camp and Onkoshi Camp. Tourism until now has been concentrated in the north-eastern sections of the Park. The vegetation is mainly Karstveldt and Mopane shrubland with the geology dominated by dolomite formations ? fittingly giving the new Camp its name.
