Casa Madeira, a 16 sleeper fully equipped self catering Villa situated in Southern Mozambique, 15km from the Kosi Bay, South African border and 2km north of Ponta Malongane. It is located on a private stretch of beach within a dune forest on a 18 hectare beach estate. The unit is fully equipped with 6 en suite bedrooms comprising 3 rooms with queen size beds and 3 rooms with twin beds. Four additional pullout beds with mattresses and linen are available. All linen and bath towels are provided and the unit is serviced daily by a full time maid. The kitchen facilities include an up right fridge/freezer combo, a separate full fridge, microwave, oven, electric kettle, 5 plate gas hob and electric oven. There is a large chest freezer in the laundry which includes a washing machine, tumble drier and ironing facilities. In addition to the open plan kitchen/lounge, the unit boasts an 81 square meter deck, with a super large alfresco dining table with benches that offer amazing sea views. Braai facilities includes a portable stainless steel charcoal braai which can be used on the open deck. By arrangement with the Mozambique authorities Casa Madeira is built within the 100m zone of breakers with 180º views of the ocean. The unit is built on one of only 10 sites within the privately owned Wakene Beach Estate. (www.wakene.co.za). Access to the estate is restricted by security controlled boom gate. Casa Madeira is designed to accommodate larger groups or up to 3 families together on a self catering basis.
Staff Tips There is a compulsory daily staff tip at R100 per day per staff member (1) for the houses. R50 per day per staff member (1) for the Dune Chalets and camping. Tipping other staff members on the estate such as security and maintenance is not mandatory but up to your own discretion. Please ensure you have enough cash on you to pay on your departure day. The staff make beds, sweep, mop, wash dishes, clean bathrooms etc. They leave at 14h30. Clients can discuss earlier departure times with staff. Refundable Breakage Deposit A refundable breakage deposit of R2000 is payable and refunded within 14 days of departure.
