We loved the tent, The view, and setting was a milion dollar, and we will defeniteley book it again. But there are issues that are not for the faint haerted. The Estate Baleia Azul, is not kept in prime condition, building rubble lies every where. the entrance to tent 7 was scary, as the nextdoor tent was old run down and a half building site full of bad rubble laying arround, The cleaning lady were lovely, after I showed it to her it took her 15min, and all were cleaned up. In our little parking area, a big hole were dug and a bakkie came to dump a load full of looked like building rubble and ash, He closed the whole again with sand, although still pieces of rubble was still visable, I could not understand that practice ? The little kitchen was in a bad state, cleanlines arround the basin which only have cold water was bad, and the 4 cupborards was so disorganised that you could not pack out any of our own stuff , however the cleaning girl were helpfull, she had enough cleaning material and tohether I heleped her to sanitize everything, cleand out the cupboard and re arranged it so that there were space to live. ( There were 20 different knifes.. most in a terrible state) The lovely pool were green with algi, the staff member resonsible for it, came the second day, took out the water, and before he filled it again, I was ready with a brush and Handy Andy, he cleaned it well and we had a great time in the slash pool, I asked him to throw away the emty chloor holder which he dutifully placed back. So I surgest guest do take some chloor with them, I do not think it is something you can buy in Malengane. He also cleaned the area next to the cold shower that was filthy with old buiding material, I paid him and never saw him again. Comunication is not easy, I was not sure what the cleaning lady understood, but she was willing to help me and done everyhing I asked. The bathroom shower.... the water was not running out, so I asked her to take out the trap and clean it, I think it was not opend for many a year.. she cleaned it wel and cleaned the very basick shower niceley with handy Andy and the shower was a pleasure af the that sping clean. The cupboard in the bathroom was full of stuff in black bags, we cleaned it out and she took some of the old duvets away to theire laundry, in that way there were space for us to put our cloths. The kingsize bed, cusions and matress was very comfortable, with a milion dollar view, the fan and aircon worked perfectly although we dit not even need it as the wind from the see is lovely cool. I suspected that our linnen was not fresh when we arrived as there were sand in the bed ?? When I tried to talk to her she were uncofortable, and when we arrived again at the tent we had fresh bed linnen and towls, it was a treat. It was hot and I was looking for a flat sheet, but could not find one in the Linnen Kist, and the lady did not understand what I was looking for. We absolutely loved the hot outside bath, it was a big treat. The wooden deck every where is a absoluut treat. There were pretty things in the tent, nice candle holders, tablecloths and other things. I surgest Guests take 2 x pillar candles -5-7 cm for you to lay a romatic table. The tent is spacious, cool and the muscito nett over the bed is lovely, although the mosciutos is a lot, be prepared you do not see or hear them but are there. I am not sure how the Tent work, I just think if people rent private spaces as a "Air BB" they should arrange there private stuff in a way that it is out of the way in a nice way. all in all, we had a wonderfull time and we would realy book it again.

Staff training, and mannagement is a big issue. They are willing, and teachable. Many of us get spoild with 5 star places, and your attitude also has to change a little bit, you should remember things work a little different in Africa. We will go back for sure.

We love tent no 7. The location is perfect and the tent has everything that you need.

We had a lovely stay at Tenda 7. The view was to die for and having coffee on the wooden deck next to the small pool waiting for sunrise was an experience on its own. The long walks on the beach were fantastic. The reef is amazing and taming with sea life. We really loved our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and we did not need a thing. The room is spacious and so is the bathroom. We can highly recommend Tenda 7.

The owners are doing a great job to keep this tent no. 7 in superb condition, from the deck, pool to the comfortable bed. The closeness and access to the beach is fantastic and we spend 10 relaxing days at the tent. The cleaner and other staff (although limited in numbers) were friendly and efficient, ensuring we felt comfortable. For first few days thew pool kept draining, but we had the maintenance/gardener sort it out making our lives even easier Overall, we enjoyed 10 fantastic days with great weather and very comfortable accommodations The views are amazing, and we were closest to the beach of all resorts with easy access and was definitely one of our best experiences to date

1. ARRIVAL: The arrival was a nightmare as we pitched up at 1630 and the staff was not expecting us, so nothing was ready - they said that they did not receive a conformation. It took them an hour to open up, pack everything and get it ready for us. They also did not know how long we were staying. We luckily found a gardener that made contact with the cleaner for the keys, etc. If we arrived after 17:00 we would not have been able to access the tent at all - the lack of a reception type setup was complicating the experience 2. CONDITION: Apart from tent no. 7 and maybe tent 1 & 8 (for very short stays), the whole resort is in a state of disrepair and at the back a building site. We were the only people for 10 days, with no guests in any of the other tents. At least 7 of the 10 tents are not habitable and seems as if the owners just letting it rot - sad to see such a great location go to waste. The roads and walking areas are good. 3. SECURITY: This was our 5th trip to Moz and Ponta area, but the 1st time we felt a bit uncomfortable. The security was a consistent concern as it seems as if Baleia Azul is the general access route for the locals and people launching their boats, so there are constantly people moving in and out of the area without restriction or control. The 17-year-old "security guard" did try his best but only had a flashlight....... 4. POWER: The power is not dependable and if it goes out at night sleeping is impossible due to the fact that at night we had to close and secure all doors, etc. for safety concerns - we were alone in the resort. At night you hear people walking around...... 5. TENT IMPROVEMENTS: The front door to the tent needs an upgrade and more security and the kitchen, although suitable, can use a better fridge. The front of the tent and deck is boiling hot in the morning until at least 12 noon - you are not able to even walk on the deck - so a gazebo is a life saver to fully utilise and appreciate the deck early 6. GENERAL: We suggest that future guests are made aware of the resort state and have very clear guides on how to get to it as well as the fact that the security is almost non existent, especially being so close to the beach and with steps going up to a few of the rotten tents giving anyone access at any time

Absolutely stunning spot. The manager on site - Hamilton, was absolutely amazing. He attended to all of our needs throughout the whole weekend. He took us to the local restaurant, helped us when the geyser wasn’t working, assisted with a wifi dongle. Honestly above and beyond. He made the entire trip for us. The house was on the beach, had everything we needed. We cannot fault the space.

Things to improve:

The only issue we had was the geyser is broken- so no hot water & the pool has a crack in it, so the water leaked out, leaving the pool level low. Only notifying you this as a maintenance concern and definitely not a complaint. It was warm enough for us to have cold showers and who needs a pool with the massive ocean right in front of you :)

This accommodation by far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were in love with the place and did not want to leave. We had everything that we needed and more. The bed was super comfortable and the view was absolutely amazing. The tent is very private and secluded. The aircon was a big plus. We will definitely be booking this accommodation again.
