We offer African safaris of 2, 3 and 4 weeks and you can also combine two or more tours to make longer overland expeditions through 7 countries. For example you can take the classic Nairobi to Cape Town overland route over 55 days or even more if you incorporate a Gorilla Trek in Uganda/Rwanda.AFRICAN PHOTO SAFARIOur Africa overland tours are more than just a high quality camping safari. You can also enjoy photographic workshops and tutorials as you tour overland through Africa. Many of our clients want to capture their safari experience photographically. Africa in Focus tours each have a photographically knowledgeable guide, one of the crew, who will travel with you on your overland tour through Africa and be on hand to offer tips and guidance to get the best out of your tour.Even if you're not a keen photographer, you might well bring a camera. On safari you'll certainly want a photo or two as a memory. And with Africa's awesome scenery, and the odd helpful tip on tour to take the best photo, you're bound to capture impressive photos to remember your overland tour once you're back home.MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR AFRICA OVERLAND TOURS EXPERIENCEOur Africa overland tours team consists of three crew including an excellent cook. Meeting new people and joining in to get things done is all part of the safari experience. The crew will show you how to put up and take down your own tent; you'll join your fellow tour travellers helping with meal preparation (but not cooking) and other tasks around the camp like washing the dishes and maintaining strict hygiene. Our Africa overland tours are semi-participation and our crew are on hand to give you every assistance.Africa in Focus vehicles have been custom built to provide our clients with over 50% more legroom than any of our competitors and past clients still claim they are the best on the road, offering exceptional comfort & facilities on our Africa overland tours. Our mobile safari vehicles seat only 16 passengers while the majority of others seat 24 to 30 in the same size vehicles as ours. A smaller group size means that our tours have less impact on local communities and on the environment.
